Moon Rovers at Newton Abbot Library

We had a great morning designing, building and testing our moon rovers. Lots of very creative designs and ideas.

Moon Rovers at Bovey Tracey Library

We had a great morning designing, building and testing our moon rovers. Lots of very creative designs and ideas.  We used an assortment of cogs and gears to control the speed. 

"The Lunar rover was designed for a speed of 
8 mph."


Moon Rovers at Totnes Library

Another great morning of creative designing building and testing moon rovers. 

"Eugene Cernan recorded a maximum speed of 11.2 mph, giving him the (unofficial) lunar land-speed record"

Lunar rovers at Tiverton Library

Lots of different designs at Tiverton Library. Some that would definitely break the Lunar land speed record!

"Apollo 15 mission to the moon covered a total distance of 17 miles with the Lunar rover"
We also ran a robotwars workshop at Newton Abbot and Totnes library and moon rover workshops at  Bampton and Holsworthy Libraries.
